About our Troop
BSA Troop 431 in West Lawn, PA is an active Troop in Scouts BSA. We are in the Combined Troop Pilot program, and we have many boys and girls in our troop. We are primarily associated with the St. Peter’s U.C.C. in West Lawn, PA. As part of the Hawk Mountain Council and the Cacoosing District, we meet most Sundays at 6:00 PM at St. Peter’s U.C.C. The troop focuses on outdoor activities, leadership development, and fostering a supportive community for youth in the West Lawn and surrounding area and the Wilson School District, specifically the areas around Cornwall Terrace, Whitfield, and Spring Ridge in West Lawn. But all Scout-age youth are welcome no matter where they live.
What is Scouts BSA
Scouts BSA is designed for boys and girls typically between the ages of 11 and 17. Scouting emphasizes outdoor adventures, ethical decision-making, and skill development. Scouts earn badges, awards, and ranks while learning valuable life skills through fun activities and camping. The BSA, founded in 1910, has engaged over 130 million Americans in its programs, making it one of the largest youth organizations in the United States.
